Photography starts with the adventure

MY APPROACH

I don’t believe a photography trips should feel like a sightseeing tour with cameras.

For me, the best photographs come from having time to slow down, watch the weather and work with the landscape rather than rushing from one famous viewpoint to the next.

I keep my groups small, my plans flexible and the photography at the centre of everything.

Sometimes that means waiting for the light.

Sometimes it means completely changing direction because the weather looks more interesting somewhere else.

And sometimes the best photograph of the day comes from somewhere we never planned to stop.

Most photographers who travel with me already know their camera, so I’m not here to constantly look over your shoulder.

If you want advice, another opinion on a composition or help working with difficult light and weather, I’m there.

If you’ve found something you love and want to spend the next hour quietly working on it, I’ll give you the space to do exactly that.

The aim is simple: good locations, interesting conditions, plenty of time and the freedom to make your own photographs.
