Explore the Faroe Islands with me

The Faroe Islands are one of my favourite places in the world to photograph.

Towering sea cliffs, waterfalls dropping into the Atlantic, tiny villages beneath enormous mountains and weather that can transform a landscape in minutes.

I first came here with my camera in 2012 and today the Faroe Islands are home.

Whether you're visiting for a few days or want to spend an entire week immersed in landscape photography, I offer two ways to explore the islands with me.

My private photography trips can be arranged for one day or several days, giving you the freedom to explore the islands around your own travel dates.

I'll plan our photography around the weather, light and the kind of landscapes you want to photograph.

We can visit some of the iconic locations the Faroes are famous for, explore quieter places away from the usual viewpoints and change plans whenever the conditions give us a better opportunity somewhere else.

Because the trip is private, the pace is completely flexible.

WEEK-LONG FAROE ISLANDS PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS

8 Days / 7 Nights · Maximum 4 Photographers

If you want to completely immerse yourself in landscape photography, join me for one of my small-group week-long workshops.

We'll spend eight days exploring the islands, following the best available weather and light rather than working from a rigid itinerary.

You'll have your own private bedroom in our shared workshop house, with breakfast, evening meals, workshop transport and photography support included.

With only four photographers, there's plenty of space to work independently while I'm there whenever you want advice or local knowledge.

Workshops are available across several seasons throughout 2027, each offering a very different Faroe Islands experience.

WHY PHOTOGRAPH THE FAROE ISLANDS WITH ME?

I've been photographing the islands since 2012 and now live here year-round.

That gives me the chance to continually explore new locations and understand how different weather, seasons and light affect the landscape.

I don't work from a fixed list of viewpoints.

If the weather changes, we change with it.

Sometimes the location we planned to photograph will be hidden beneath cloud while somewhere else is beginning to clear.

That's part of photographing the Faroes.

I use my local knowledge to put us in the best photographic conditions I can — then give you the space to create your own images.
